Come Sit By Me: Volume 50
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.

I’m still trying to catch up after my Sweet 60 girls trip to Hilton Head last weekend and this short week. By the time you read this Saturday I’ll have officially wrapped up the birthday festivities with my other girl gang on Friday night. They surprised me with those gorgeous flowers above, which were sitting on my front porch when I got home from Hilton Head. Just one more reminder of how lucky I am to have all these women in my life!

Hilton Head was everything a girls’ getaway should be, even if we never put on a swimsuit. The weather might have been cool and rainy, but that sure didn’t stop the fun. Great conversations on long walks (and even talking until 2:30 a.m.), dance moves that should probably stay off video, and stories that had us dying with laughter. I got to celebrate alongside my sweet friend, who was born just one day before me.

And the girls knocked it out of the park with the “Sweet 60” shirts—so cute! (If you ever want endless strangers talking to you in a Southern beach bar, wear fun matching girls trip shirts, AND a crown and sash.😂)
One of my girlfriends graciously hosted us in her home and one night we had hibachi chefs come to the house for dinner on the patio. They not only cooked the food, but also served up plenty of jokes and good music. Let’s just say it was very interactive. I’m still not sure how nothing caught on fire!

As much as I’ve loved every minute of celebrating with so many special friends, I’ll admit I’m a tiny bit ready to stop having so much attention on me. But this birthday has been a good time to reflect and take in how very thankful I am to have some of the most amazing human beings in my life. My heart (and calendar) are so full, and 60 will go down as one birthday I’ll always remember. 💕

I love how Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles refreshed her home with this gorgeous botanical gallery wall. It feels so fresh, charming, playful, and full of life.

There’s something about candlelight in the fall, especially when it’s surrounded by these pretty glass hurricanes from Ballard Designs. They would transition beautifully from autumn into the holidays.

This pear and arugula salad looks like autumn on a plate. Sweet pears, peppery arugula, and a light honey vinaigrette come together for the most delicious balance of flavors.

There’s nothing cozier than climbing into a bed dressed for fall. This beautiful plaid duvet from Pottery Barn is classic, warm, and full of seasonal charm that feels like a weekend retreat in a Hallmark movie.

If you love decorating with blue, you’ll adore these 22 stunning Thanksgiving tablescapes. From rich navy accents to soft powder blues, each table is filled with elegant layers, creative details, and beautiful ideas for fall entertaining. Every one is proof that blue has a place at the Thanksgiving table.
