Come Sit By Me: Volume 75
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.

• While in Vegas last week, I checked a new experience off of my bucket list and took my first helicopter ride. We did a tour to the Grand Canyon, flew over the Hoover Dam on the way, and landed down in the canyon to soak in the scenery and had a little picnic snack with champagne. On the way back, we flew at sunset and came in over the Vegas strip right as everything was lighting up. Although I’m glad I took some proactive motion sickness medicine, I wasn’t afraid at all like I thought I might be. It was a truly amazing experience and the spectacular views you get from the air are unlike any you could get from the ground. It was equal parts exhilarating, peaceful, and surreal—and they even had the most perfectly curated playlist of “flying songs” in the headphones, which made it even better.

• We had one other free day from basketball games and decided to drive to Zion National Park a couple of hours away. We only had time to do the Scout’s Landing trail, and it was a good choice—pretty steep and had me huffing and puffing a few times, but without the tricky footing like a lot of hikes. And the park was every bit as beautiful as everyone says.
• Spending Easter Sunday in Vegas was interesting. We found the only church service we could on the strip (pretty sure there were some mobsters mixed in, but who knows), and then went to breakfast at Siegel’s, who supplied all the customers with bunny ears which was a funny sight. We wore ours back to the hotel and even to the pool. And somehow out of all the things you see in Vegas, bunny ears are what really get people’s attention.😂 But we did get a lot of “Happy Easter” greetings!
• Back home now and have been working Monday’s post, and I have to say I’ve had a lot of fun writing this one. It’s all about the unwritten rules of living in the South—like never showing up empty-handed, automatically saying yes ma’am and no sir, and knowing to pull over and wait for a funeral procession to pass. Check it out on Monday to see if I missed any good ones!
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
There’s something about a home that keeps its character but still feels fresh and easy to live in. This renovation does that so well—holding onto the classic details while updating just enough to make it feel current without losing what made it special in the first place.

This adjustable brass accent table has that collected, timeless look and is one of those pieces you can use just about anywhere. I like the warm brass finish, and the adjustable height makes it especially handy next to a chair or sofa—or even in a guest space when you need a spot for a drink or a few books.

This Italian antipasto pasta salad is one of those go-to recipes that’s just easy. It has all the classic flavors, comes together quickly, and works whether you’re hosting or taking something somewhere.

This rattan drink caddy is such a fun piece for entertaining, especially outside. I like that it keeps everything together with the glasses and a bottle in one spot, and it just has that easy, relaxed look that works for summer.

This wedge salad board is such a fun way to serve something simple. It takes all the usual ingredients and just presents them in a way that feels a little more special without being any harder.

What have you seen this week that you’re obsessed with? Let all of us in on it in the comments!
