Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
This week’s update will be short because as I write this, I’m soaking up every magical minute in London, England—centuries old buildings, charming pubs, and all. Tomorrow, we’re off to Paris (someone pinch me!). This trip has been years in the wishing—a bucket list adventure with my longtime girlfriends and my gift to myself to celebrate my milestone birthday year. It’s been full of laughter, jet lag, and unforgettable memories already, and we haven’t even hit the Eiffel Tower yet.

Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
This dining space is like a breath of fresh air! The soft neutral tones, paired with cheerful green upholstery and that sunny yellow bowl of lemons, make it feel both elegant and inviting.

These citronella candles are a summer must-have! I love how they add a warm glow to an evening on the patio and help keep the bugs away—pretty and practical.

This Nova Scotia Blueberry Cream Cake is pure comfort in every bite! Soft, creamy, and bursting with juicy blueberries, it’s a nostalgic dessert that’s surprisingly easy to make—even if you’re not an experienced baker.

These rattan-wrapped pitchers are just the thing for summer entertaining! Whether you’re serving iced tea on the porch or cocktails at sunset, they add a natural, breezy charm to your table. I love how they feel both timeless and on-trend.

This light lemon cheesecake mousse is sunshine in a dessert cup! Creamy, fluffy, and just the right amount of tangy—it’s an easy make-ahead treat that feels fancy but comes together in minutes.

enjoy ever minute of it
Thank you Ginger!
WOW! You got all 3 icons of London in that photo, where exactly were you (streetwise), I would love to copy that picture when we are there in August. Very cool.
Hi Barri—I’m not sure what street we were on because we were on a black cab tour of the city and our driver knew exactly where we should get out and take our pictures! I could get the name of the tour company if you’re interested in booking one. It was a great overview before we started touring individual sites.
