Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- Had my fantasy league’s March Madness trophy in hand until the final few minutes of Monday night’s game, dang it!!

- It’s been the most glorious, perfect weather here, so I’ve gotten a walk in every day, organized my garage, started a few tasks in the yard, and just made an effort to be outside as much as I can. Walked out one morning to see this female Mallard duck sitting down in my driveway and not moving no matter how close I got. I thought she might be injured, but I snapped this picture of her later down the street so maybe she’s just scoping out the neighborhood to make a nest. I’m thinking around the pond would be a much better place than my concrete driveway.🤷♀️

- I got to try a new restaurant in town called Flower Child. It’s a healthy, order-at-the-counter type of restaurant and so cute and delicious! I could see me meeting friends to eat here often. I found it funny that almost everyone there when we ate lunch were women friends like us—maybe two dudes in the whole place.

Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
There’s something so satisfying about a well-styled bookcase. I’m especially loving the layered mix of textures, patterns, and pops of color in this one.

My slow cooker is proof that practical can still be pretty! I just love the sleek white design and modern display—it’s the kind of kitchen helper you could actually leave out on the counter.

I’m filing away this beautiful indoor container garden idea with live plants and moss for summer:

If you’re hosting a Masters watch party (or just watching with family), this printable bingo game is a fun way to add a little extra competition to the day!

Ever dreamed of living in a whimsical, storybook-style home filled with bold color and playful patterns? This HGTV Designer of the Year contender brings it to life and is packed with personality.
