Come Sit By Me: Volume 56
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
I’m having to keep it short and sweet for this week’s newsletter. Because I got back from Arizona on Saturday, and wow… I snapped back into reality quick, with the upcoming three weeks being the busiest time for blog work of my entire year. If being gone for a week before Thanksgiving didn’t already have my schedule maxxed out, I’m out of town again this weekend, again the week before Christmas, then coming home for one day before I leave for Christmas. So this week I’ve been in catch-up mode and get-ahead mode at the same time, and pretty much worked nonstop. For some reason I have this weird “I can get all the things done” mentality, yet it’s never possible…and I never learn that lesson.
But they’re trips I love, and it’s work I love, and I feel blessed to be so busy. And speaking of blessings and gratitude, I spent Thanksgiving day with my usual Friendsgiving crew. All the “kids” from the six families are adults now, and this year we added two adorable grandbabies! A day spent with good food and good friends was a welcome break from my overflowing to-do list.

So with Thanksgiving Day behind us, it’s officially (and now acceptable) to say it’s Christmas season. I’ll have this year’s tour of my decorations up on the blog on Monday, and I can’t wait to share it with you. And let me be the first one to wish you a Merry Christmas!🎅
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
This dining room sparkles with timeless Christmas elegance! Soft blue walls and crystal accents create the perfect backdrop for cheerful plaid and fresh greenery.

I’ve had my eye on this little gingerbread village from Pottery Barn since last season. It would add a little Christmas cuteness to the kitchen counter, a mantel, or entryway table display.

This easy black bean soup is comfort in a bowl that comes together in minutes and is packed with protein and a touch of spice. Top it with cheese, lime, and fresh cilantro for the ultimate cozy meal.

This ribbon tabletop tree from Anthropologie is such a unique look for the season! With its layered satin ribbon design and subtle shimmer, it could add just the right amount of festive elegance to a console table, mantel, or centerpiece.

This Christmas tree charcuterie board is almost too pretty to eat! Layered with cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, and sprigs of rosemary, it’s a festive and delicious centerpiece for any holiday gathering.
