Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- Last weekend was very quiet, but I did accomplish lots of tasks around the house. Like pulling mint out of two big garden beds overgrown with it, trying to get every last single solitary root. If you ever even think about planting mint in a bed instead of a pot, just DON’T!!! Nothing kills it, and I have sprouts coming up all the way in the flower beds in the front yard. 😭
- Just to get out and say I did something social last weekend, I went over to a friend’s house and we sat and talked on her sofa for a few hours. Sometimes this is my favorite thing to do—the conversation is better than any night out, I do nothing to get ready, and feel fine the next day!

- I’m excited about my trip to the huge Round Top Vintage Market next week. We’ll get to stay with some friends at their farmhouse in Round Top, and the pic above is one I took of the bluebonnets on their property on one of my past visits. So pretty! Now to figure out what I’m going to allow myself to spend…

I’m loving this spring mantel with its pops of pink in KariAnne’s of Thistlewood Farms blue and white living room!

These waterfall red wine glasses from Anthropologie are gorgeous—I have the champagne flutes in blue and their iridescence is stunning!

This Italian Antipasto Pasta Salad looks like a great side dish for almost any meal—loaded with meats, cheeses, veggies, and a zesty dressing!

First the honeycomb Christmas tree trend and now they’ve come out with sweet honeycomb bunnies in elegant colors. They’d be easy to store too!
