Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- The weather here in the Dallas area has been simply gorgeous with temps in the 70’s and 80’s, so I’ve taken advantage while I can and gotten out to walk in my neighborhood every day. A sure sign of spring is when the purple flowers on the redbud trees are starting to sprout:
- Last Saturday night, a group of my girlfriends and I had the opportunity to get all dressed up for a fun night of dinner, an auction, and dancing. Our friend Kathleen bought a table at the Me Squared Cancer Foundation Black and White Gala to raise money to help out breast cancer patients. (Kathleen also started the DFW chapter of the Healing Chair, which loans breast cancer mastectomy patients reclining lift chairs to aid in their recovery.) Here’s a pic of us before we left, not wearing athleisure or jeans for once 😂:
- I wore my one black and white long dress last year, and I found a great deal on this midi-length black satin dress the day before and added my mother’s vintage brooch to the waisline:
