Come Sit By Me: Volume 7
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- I got what I wanted most for Christmas—my youngest child called to tell me she got a job! She’s been working, but just an hourly job to have money coming in. Salary, benefits, and the drive cut in half. Mama’s happy.💗
- We had a great time at the party I threw last weekend for my girlfriends. We all met when our babies were in Gymboree 25 years ago! It made me extra happy that we could all be together in my new place for Christmas. And if you can’t tell, it’s never a dull time, no matter where we are. We called this our Olan Mills pose—we’re obviously at an age that we don’t care if we look like complete dorks. (I also shared a photo of us in my girlfriends Christmas party post this week just in case you missed us being normal😂.)

- Now that the party planning is over, this week has been about tying up all the loose ends of Christmas tasks like shopping, wrapping, and working ahead so I’ll be able to spend time with family next week. And a stupid cold that I don’t have time for has been trying to put me behind. The bright side? I can do a lot of those things at home in my pajamas! I’m also trying to cram all the Christmas music and Christmas movies I can into these final days. The holiday season is just too short this year. I looked up the date for Thanksgiving 2025, and I’m sorry to report it only happens one day earlier next year.

This post from Stonegable is full of creative ways to use what you have to make a simple holiday arrangement. I love them all!

Need a little sparkle for your holiday? These glitter gel candles are so fabulous and will be perfect all winter long. I gave them as party favors to my friends to match the sparkle party theme.

I’ve got even more fun wrapping ideas. This post is full of creative ways to wrap gifts with kraft paper.

If you need a small gift for the gal who has everything, this matches cloche would be great for anyone.

What have you seen this week that you’re obsessed with? Let all of us in on it in the comments!
Live this weekend to the fullest,💗
