Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- Well, last week’s cold here said “hold my beer” and we woke up to feels like temps of -1 degree on Wednesday. I can’t wait until it starts getting warmer again tomorrow and up to 70 this week. Bijoux was not happy about walking on the frozen ground and pranced around on it like it was burning her feet.

- Went to my first Mavs game in a couple of years last night and had a good time in spite of Luka Doncic no longer being a Mav.😢

- I had a couple of houseguests stay this week. First my nephew, and I really enjoyed our one-on-one time. He’s one of the only men in the family that doesn’t mind talking about feelings and serious things—his mother taught him well. He’s also a fantastic cook and was showing me pictures of all the insanely good meals he’s made lately (I’m hoping to score a recipe or two to try). Later in the week a girlfriend stayed a few nights and we also had a great catch-up. And laughed so hard I’m pretty sure I got an ab workout!
- And this week I’ll be prepping and packing for a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I haven’t been since 2020 and am so excited to “laissez les bon temps rouler“!
