Come Sit By Me: Volume 4
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.

One of my kids and I spent Friendsgiving with this crew as we’ve done for several years. It’s always so much good food and good fun that goes well into the night with more friends stopping by after their celebrations. This was the “adult” table but there were twice as many young adult “kids” in the other room! My friend Missy always makes it special, including letting us drink out of her wedding Waterford crystal (we made a rule—you break it you buy it).
On a more serious note, this Thanksgiving week I am taking in and trying to fully absorb what a very different place I was in at this same time last year, not just physically but mentally. I sat at this same table on Thanksgiving scared out of my wits of the uncertainty of where I would be now. Filled with dread over the upcoming hardest few months of my life.

So during this week of gratitude, I’m taking special notice of all of my blessings. I am more thankful than I’ve ever been for my friends and family. Those people above are just some of the ones that helped me through.
Another one of those blessings is this blog and all of you. God put this whim of an idea into my life at just the right time so that I was able to get it going before my almost 40 year marriage ended. Now it’s a needed source of income. It’s a source of community and connection. Of strength. It’s been a positive place to focus my mental and creative energy. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your part in that.💗
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
I love seeing all of the different ways to set a Christmas table. This layered look is so pretty and those monogrammed napkins are stunning.

This cozy sherpa throw is adorned with the cutest pom poms and is a steal right now for Black Friday!

These White Christmas Mojitos would make a great cocktail selection at your holiday and winter gatherings. Isn’t it so pretty?

Honeycomb trees are all the rage this year and I love this set of green trees. You can put them just about anywhere in your home, too!

Need a few ideas for decorating your Christmas entry? In this post, you’ll find loads of inspiration on how to deck your front halls.

What have you seen this week that you’re obsessed with? Let all of us in on it in the comments!
Live this weekend to the fullest,💗

Before you go:

Hi Kate, I think you have a great business idea started! Most people have difficulty pulling together classic and timeless home decor that fits their decor style with added seasonal elements. Stores are full of cheap trendy and useless knickknacks that make homes feel cluttered and chaotic. I love your classic, calming, and useful pieces! You have a gift for creating special yet welcoming and comfortable spaces that people want to come too. And a heart for showing others how they can do it too. Maybe you can tie in more online purchase pieces with timeless displays that are useable and be an investment to add to over time? It could even make great gifting ideas the whole family would use, cherish, and love for generations. Just like you do. <3
Sending hugs…I’ve been where you are and it’s tough. Luckily it has made me stronger and I hope it does the same for you. Positive thoughts and prayers for you. All the best and please be sure to focus on yourself. It’s okay to be selfish.
Thank you for your support and wise advice Lisa. And I’ll take ALL the positive thoughts and prayers!!💗
