Come Sit By Me: Volume 100
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.

Ciao…this week’s nutshell is coming to you from Europe! I’m keeping it brief because I’m trying hard to spend more time soaking everything in than looking at my laptop. (I can’t help but notice how many people here are buried in their phones, very concerned about getting the perfect photo for Instagram.😂)

We started in Rome and hit the ground running with the Vatican on our first day. It blows my mind how much history and art can be packed into one place. It’s more than you can really take in. I’ve seen pictures of it so many times, but actually being there was an amazing experience.

Right after the Vatican we moved to Como where we spent a couple of days. It really IS as beautiful as it looks in the movies. We even cruised by George Clooney’s place on the ferry on the way to Bellagio and Varenna for the day.

Today we traveled by train to Switzerland for a few days. I thought I was sorry to be leaving Italy for a bit, but this may be the most stunningly beautiful place I’ve ever been—and I’ve only seen what’s around our hotel so far!
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
Transitioning a home into fall does not have to begin with pumpkins in every room. These easy ideas for decorating with collected pieces use vintage books, warm color, rich texture, candlelight, and favorite treasures to give rooms a cozy fall feel without looking overly decorated.

A beautiful lamp can add color and personality to a room even when it is not turned on. This green-and-blue floral ginger jar lamp has a classic botanical design that would look lovely on an entryway console, bedroom nightstand, or living room side table.

There is a reason warm ham-and-cheese sandwiches have been a longtime favorite at Southern gatherings. These easy Ham Delights layer ham and Gouda on soft Hawaiian rolls with a sweet-and-savory spread, then finish them with melted butter and everything bagel seasoning for an irresistible party appetizer.

Small decorative trays are perfect for making everyday necessities look a little more polished. This blue floral enamel tray would be pretty holding jewelry on a dresser, perfume bottles in a bathroom, or matches beside a favorite candle.

Classic furnishings, pretty patterns, and subtle touches of fall give this beautiful fall home tour such a collected feel. I especially like how the seasonal decor blends right in with the rest of the home instead of taking over.

What have you seen this week that you’re obsessed with? Let all of us in on it in the comments!
