Why You’ll Love This Holiday Martini Recipe.
This shortcut easy recipe is ideal for coffee lovers who want an espresso martini but without the hassle of using an espresso machine. The addition of peppermint transforms a regular espresso martini into a Christmas treat—kind of like an Andes Mint. And the cute peppermint rim dresses up this drink and lets you sip in holiday style!
It’s also a great make-ahead Christmas cocktail since the cold brew keeps the flavor consistent.

- Chocolate chips to melt for the rim
- Candy canes or peppermint candies to crush for the rim

Step-by-Step Instructions for the Best Peppermint Espresso Martini.
1. Prepare the Glasses
Melt chocolate chips and place on a small plate. Finely crush candy canes or peppermint candies in a Ziploc bag and put them on a second plate. Dip the rim into the chocolate, then into the crushed peppermint. This holds beautifully and makes the glass look extra festive.

2. Mix the Cocktail
Fill a large shaker with ice and add:
- 2 oz peppermint vodka
- 2 oz coffee liqueur
- 2 oz cold brew
- A few dashes of foaming agent if using
Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until chilled and frothy.

SH&H Tip: If your shaker is on the small side, use half the amount so that you’ll have room to shake it up.
3. Serve
Strain into a coupe or martini glass.
Top with three coffee beans, symbolizing health, wealth, and happiness.
