Come Sit By Me: Volume 78
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
I’ve spent the most magical week in Grand Cayman, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. It was my first time, and the water is truly that calm, clear blue that looks like it’s photoshopped. And the weather stayed in the perfect 75-85 degree range day and night, which is ideal to me.

We were there celebrating one of my dearest friends birthday (that stunning Texas girl in white). Our girls group has been friends for over 25 years now and getting all of us together, with husbands and a few of the kids mixed in, doesn’t happen often anymore.
On her birthday night we had the most special birthday dinner I think I’ve ever attended on the terrace of her room at the Ritz-Carlton. Afterward we did a planned “roast toast” to her, and then somehow it turned into us all sitting in a circle, going around sharing why she’s so special to us and the difference she’s made in our lives. Such a perfect birthday gift for her, but just as much for all of us to say those things out loud and remember everything we’ve been through together. It’s rare to have friendships like that, and I never want to forget how lucky I am.

When we weren’t hanging out in the cabanas or in the perfect water at the hotel, one day we took a charter boat excursion to Stingray City and Starfish Cove. And yes, I did kiss the stingray for my seven years of good luck!

During the downtime away from our big party of nineteen people, we enjoyed sunrise and sunset walks everyday and breakfast on the beach. I’m squeezing this little update in right before our flight, and I already know it’s going to be very hard to leave paradise in a few hours.
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
Soft blues and greens layered throughout this bedroom create a fresh, elegant look, and just one part of this home so full of casual, coastal charm.

These blue and white clip shades are such an easy way to give a lamp a fresh new look, and I love the classic pattern and charming designer feel they add to a room.

These Italian grinder sliders look like the kind of easy, crowd-pleasing recipe that would disappear fast at any gathering.

The pattern and color on these jacquard napkins feel so fun and collected, making even a simple table setting look a little more special.

Bold color and layered pattern choices give this home so much personality, while still feeling warm, welcoming, and beautifully livable.
