Come Sit By Me: Volume 10
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- I know it may not seem like a big deal to some of you that live in colder climates, but when we get snow in Texas the world stops. Forced to stay off the roads for two days finally let me get all of the little things I’ve been needing to get done accomplished around the house like putting the Christmas stuff put away, the house cleaned, and dealing with stacks on my desk. The snow is pretty and peaceful for one day, but after that it just interferes with life. My dog doesn’t want to go out (because when your legs are only five inches long, a few inches of snow is no bueno). And I’m over having to put on a coat, snow boots, hat, and gloves every time I take her out—I don’t know how y’all that live where you get snow all winter do it! We’re so lazy here, we’d rather not wear a coat at all and just run from car to building.

- I took my SUV to the shop to have the rodent damage fixed this week. I was hoping to rent an SUV (I don’t like sitting down low in a car). but the only rental they had available that my insurance would cover was a minivan. Since I’ll probably be driving it for a few weeks, I was a tad disappointed. Never judge a car by its not-so-cool cover! This thing has some better gadgets than my SUV, Apple CarPlay, and a fantastic stereo, And it’s a hybrid that weirdly drives like a zippy little sports car (it’s a Chrysler Pacifica Sport in case anyone is curious). Go figure.
Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
I just love the way this bookcase is styled. Perfect for winter!

These monogrammed marble coasters are just gorgeous. They are the perfect gift for absolutely anyone, too!

January is the perfect time to try new recipes and get back on track with eating breakfast in the morning. I really want to try these spinach, feta, and sundried tomato egg muffin cups.

I just love a pretty coffee table book and this one, The Houses of Veranda, is no exception! I have it in my collection.

What have you seen this week that you’re obsessed with? Let all of us in on it in the comments!
Live this weekend to the fullest,💗

Your new home is very pretty. I too need to downsize. My husband passed in 2012 and my house and yard are just too much for a 73 year young woman. A lot of memories but I carry those in my heart. I hope you and your spouse are adjusting to your new home.
Thank you Laura! It is an adjustment and I’m used to having a big yard, but I am enjoying less to take care of. I know it’s such a huge undertaking to downsize that you may not want to deal with, but it feels good on the other side!
