Kate, I really enjoyed reading all these quotes! Thanks for putting these together! I am a Canadian but sure wish we were American! We just love the USA and spent 6 months out of the year, for 16 years, on South Padre Island — and absolutely loved spending our winters there. We have so many wonderful American friends which we keep in touch with. We have not been able to go down to SPI since covid as our health insurance — and our horrible Canadian dollar — is so expensive.
One quote that really resonated with me was: “Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it” Wow! I tell you, whenever I see an American flag blowing in the wind — including the one we have on our balcony — this quote will come to mind. What a thought!
God Bless You, Kate — and GOD BLESS THE USA!
