Come Sit By Me: Volume 89
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.
- I’ve wanted to visit Boston for years, and finally got to spend the last few days there doing lots of touring (and good eating). And it absolutely lived up to my expectations. The historic sites, beautiful architecture, waterfront views filled with yachts and tall ships, and flowers spilling over window boxes—there seemed to be something quintessentially New England to see everywhere I turned.

- Because of my FOMO-driven need to see everything, we ended up with more than 33,000 steps on two of the days. Boston is such a walkable city and there is so much to see and do that we just kept going. One thing I especially loved after escaping the Texas heat was the weather—mostly highs in the 80s with just a hint of coolness in the breeze. Families filled the picturesque parks, patios were packed, and everyone seemed to be outside taking advantage of it.

- During our walk along the Freedom Trail, we came across this statue of Paul Revere. Scottish soccer fans had been in town and apparently decided Paul needed an orange construction cone for a hat. I love this picture even more because of that cone—who needs another photo of a plain, boring statue?

- We walked through some of the prettiest old neighborhoods and, of course, had to get a picture after dinner on Acorn Street, which is supposedly one of the most photographed streets in the country with its cobblestones perfectly framed by classic Boston brownstones.

- One day we took the ferry out to the Cape, which gave us the best view of the Boston skyline and a little break for our feet. We wandered the charming streets lined with shops and classic Cape Cod homes, rented bikes to explore the trails, and walked along the beach.
- It’s been right back to work since coming home. Thankfully I’m still fully in a summer mood after the trip, which has me completely into the post I’m putting together for Monday. It’s a mix of summer quotes and sayings that celebrate sunshine, nature, and appreciating the slower season. I can’t wait to share it with you!
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
If you love homes that feel collected, cozy, and timeless, you’ll enjoy this beautiful countryside retreat. Every room is filled with cottage charm.

These custom Roman shades are absolutely beautiful. The citrus print would bring instant freshness in a timeless way to a kitchen, breakfast nook, or sunroom.

This Caprese sandwich is fresh, simple, and full of summer flavor, just like the salad. Even better with warm, toasted bread.

I love the wicker look of these planters and they’re on clearance. They would be a beautiful way to dress up a porch, patio, or entryway.

A well-collected gallery wall tells a story that’s uniquely yours. I love how this one mixes artwork, photographs, and meaningful keepsakes.
