Come Sit By Me: Volume 74
Inside: Welcome to the weekend and our weekly catch-up, Come Sit By Me. I’m spilling the sweet tea on what’s happened this week, what’s inspiring me, and a few things that have caught my eye that I think you’ll love too!

Welcome to “Come Sit By Me”! It’s our chance to catch up on the little things I’d share with you this week if we could chat on the porch over coffee (or wine depending on the time of day).
Life Lately in a Nutshell.

• Last Saturday was the annual Black & White Gala with my girlfriends, and I love the very occasional excuse to wear an evening gown and heels (although after we dance I appreciate my daily athletic shoes even more). My gracious friend hosted us at her sponsored table, and it’s always a fun night for us to hang out together for a really meaningful cause. The Me Squared Foundation supports women going through breast cancer with their expenses, and my friend’s Healing Chair charity works alongside them to help provide comfort and care.

• Now I’m in Las Vegas for the College Basketball Crown. Baylor had a less than stellar season and it’s not the NCAA tournament, but following this team and hanging out with our fellow fan friends is alway fun.
• There’s no shortage of things to do around basketball games, even though we have no real interest in gambling. We have a helicopter tour planned to the Grand Canyon which is bucket list for me, so I’ll just get over my nervousness and let my FOMO win. We’re also planning a day trip to Zion National Park, which I’ve heard is amazingly beautiful.
Words to Get Through the Week.

Pretty Pictures, Yummy Recipes, and Things I Just Want to Spend Money On.
There’s something so comforting about a simple place to sit together in the kitchen. These eat-in spaces provide beautiful inspiration for creating those special spaces to linger and interact.

How cute are these bamboo plates? They add such a lovely, collected feel to this table with the fresh patterns, colors, and fresh flowers.

Hello…what sounds more comfort food than a pimiento cheese grits casserole? It’s delicious on its own or paired with a main dish.

This lamp has such a classic look with its bamboo trellis base and tailored shade.
