This classic Southern Pimento Cheese Ball is perfect for Masters viewing and golf parties, Kentucky Derby parties, or any gathering when you need a delicious appetizer that’s always a crowd pleaser!
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise and mix until there are no more lumps in the cream cheese. You can use a hand mixer on low or a stand mixer with a paddle attachment to quickly smooth out any remaining lumps.
Mix in the garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Add the cheddar and parmesan cheese to the mixture and stir to combine cheeses.
Add the drained pimentos and mix well with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon until all is well combined.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Remove from fridge 20 minutes before serving and roll in or press on pecan pieces.
Notes
To use as a sandwich spread, up the mayonnaise to 1/2 cup.Use extra sharp cheddar and toast pecans for even more flavor.
